   In today’s world, dominated by machines, electronics and noise, singing and music are a form of mental and cultural therapy. Getting to know the cultural achievements of the countries of uniting Europe is an opportunity for us to take part in the ongoing integration process. WE LIVE SIDE BY SIDE – LET’S SING TOGETHER is the motto of the European Choral Meetings.

   Every year we are happy to see young people coming here from different corners of Europe, despite the cold and the snow, to take part in the shared spiritual feast offered by choral singing. The mood and atmosphere of approaching Christmas lends a special lustre to our meetings. May our singing, magnified by the light of the Star of Bethlehem, strengthen our hope and our optimism, and may Christmas carols be the standard under which we unite.

   This year’s European Choral Meetings festival is changing Warsaw into the choral centre of Europe for the twelveth consecutive year. We are delighted to be able to continue this great idea of annual meetings at our festival, and would like to invite you to the many concerts as well as the Great Christmas Carol Gala at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw.
