The annual Vienna Opera Ball, one of Europe's most prestigious social and artistic events, was held on the night of 11-12 February 2010 at the Wiener Staatsoper.
Ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater Ballet Alina Somova, gave a guest performance with the Polish National Ballet at the Teatr Wielki. Her partner in the part of Solor was Denis Matvienko.
In its last issue of 2009, the exclusive bimonthly magazine "Malemen" awarded special titles to unusual Poles. It was the first time the magazine decided to honour admirable Polish men in this way.
