Outstanding Russian pianist and vocal coach. Winner of numerous prizes at international music competitions, at many of which she was subsequently a judge. Recipient of the title of Honoured Artist of Russia. She has performed at all the greatest theatres of the world, from Milan’s La Scala to New York’s Carnegie Hall. Her achievements and huge experience in working with singers are highly appreciated: she has been entrusted with the positions of artistic director of the Academy of Young Singers at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, general director of the Rimsky-Korsakov Vocal Competition, and director of the Summer Academy in Finland.

   The artist works with the world’s greatest opera houses, coaching soloists of many nationalities in performing the great Russian repertoire. She holds master classes in Russia as well as the United Kingdom, Finland, France, Spain, Japan, and the United States. As an accompanist of the soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre, she has been on many tours, to countries that include Argentina, France, Spain, Iceland, Japan, Canada, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, and the United States. She has over 15 CDs to her credit, recorded in Russia, the UK and the United States for Philips and EMI. Larissa Gergieva was a judge of the 4th, 5th and 6th International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition.
