The Redutowe Rooms
The Redutowe Rooms were always a venue for artistic presentations. Karol Kurpiński and Stanisław Moniuszko gave concerts here with the opera orchestra, and great singers of the Warsaw theatre performed here. This is where the famous Reduta, Juliusz Osterwa’s theatre laboratory, came into being and staged its performances. After the Teatr Wielki was rebuilt from the destruction of World War II, the rooms were used mainly for the Theatre Museum’s exhibitions. Today we are reinstating it as a venue for vocal, instrumental, opera, dance, theatre, and film arts as well.
